First things first, birth cards are based on the concept of numerology which dates back thousands of years, from having ancient roots in the Greek system of isopsephy to the Hebrew system of gematria. While the term numerology might be relatively modern, the core beliefs and practices can be traced back several millennia. The practice finds hidden numerical patterns and symbolic meanings behind dates, words, names and events, with the belief that those numbers influence people’s characteristics and life events in mystical or predictive ways.
